Alcohol
Adjustment
Memstar’s unique alcohol adjustment process allows winemakers to selectively
remove alcohol from their wines. It was developed in Australia by Wine
Network Technology and targets the growing problem of excessively high
alcohol levels in many modern wines. Memstar alcohol adjustment is offered
as an on-site service provided by our skilled personnel.
Taint
Removal
For over two years Wine Network Technology (and now its subsidiary, Memstar)
has offered a mobile service to remove taint characters from wines made
from grapes damaged by bush fire smoke and from wines spoilt by Brettanomyces
infection.
Wine
and Grape Juice Concentration
Through its Memstar subsidiary, Wine Network Technology offers winemakers
equipment and services to concentrate their grape juice or wine. The concentration
process treats grape juice or wine to increase flavour intensity, colour
and body. It does this by using reverse osmosis to remove a portion of
the grape juice or wine as permeate.

Volatile
Acidity Reduction
Since
1997 Wine Network Technology has offered winemakers a mobile, on-site
service to selectively and specifically reduce volatile acidity in their
wines. Using a patented technology originally developed by Vinovation
in the USA, hundreds of batches of wine totalling millions of litres have
been successfully treated.
Micro-Oxygenation
Micro-oxygenation is the controlled introduction of oxygen into wine,
mirroring the gentle oxidation found with barrel ageing. It is potentially
one of the most powerful and radical winemaking techniques ever to be
developed.
